Performance contracting offers an alternative to operational optimisation. A property or business operation is analysed to determine energy consumption, with the focus on "quick wins". The con-trolling measures are also sustainable and are based on the building's existing technical infra-structure without the need for upgrades.
The analysis identifies potential for savings which can be realised by efficiency optimisation measures. These measures often pay off within only a few years' time, and in many cases within a year: so they are highly cost-effective.
